The City of Montebello Parking Enforcement Division provides parking permits to residents who live in designated Preferential Parking Districts, where a permit is required to park within the public right-of-way.
Each qualifying parcel may receive up to four (4) permits total per calendar year, as follows:
Who Can Apply?
Single-Household Parcel (one dwelling unit):
- The tenant applies directly. Please click here to view the required documents and where to apply.
Multi-dwelling parcel (two or more units):
- The property owner must apply first and assign how the four permits will be distributed among the units (by name and/or unit).
- Each tenant must then complete their own required paperwork to receive the assigned permit. Please click here to view the required documents and where to apply.
Fees:
Application / Annual Renewal:
The application/renewal fee is $30 per household, per calendar year.
- Single-household parcel: $30 total
- Multi-dwelling parcel: $30 per household listed by the property owner.
- Same fee applies whether a parcel receives one (1) permit or all four (4).
Replacement Fee (Lost/Stolen permit):
- Each parcel is limited to one (1) replacement permit per calendar year.
- A replacement fee of $5 is required upon issuance.
- Original permits become invalid once replaced.
Permit Validity:
Preferential Parking Permits issued for 2026 are valid through December 31, 2026.
Renewal and payment is required starting January 1, 2027.
