Title VI Program
As a recipient of federal funding, the City of Montebello is committed to ensuring compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination based on race, color, or national origin in all federally funded programs and activities. By federal requirements, this Title VI Notice to the Public informs individuals of their rights and provides information on how to file a complaint if they believe they have been subjected to discrimination. Montebello strives to promote equitable access to transportation programs, services, and decision-making processes for all community members.
On August 13, 2025, the City Council adopted the City of Montebello Title VI Plan, as mandated by the Federal Government.

TITLE VI COMPLAINT PROCESS
Any person who believes she or he has been discriminated against on the basis of race, color, or national origin by the City of Montebello may file a Title VI complaint by completing and submitting the agency’s Title VI Complaint Form no more than 180 days after the alleged incident. The City’s Title VI Coordinator will process complaints received and shall acknowledge receipt within 10 business days; resolution within 60 days.
