All entries must be submitted by March 26, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. to the Montebello Public Works Department at [email protected] . Scholarship recipients will be notified in mid-to-late April and formally recognized at the May 13, 2026, meeting of the Montebello City Council.
The City of Montebello is proud to announce the 2026 Local Environmental Programs Scholarship in partnership with Athens Services. Ten (10) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to eligible graduating seniors who reside within Montebello and attend a local high school. Students are invited to submit an original, MLA-formatted essay addressing topics such as recycling, organics, sustainable consumption, and responsible resource use, while reflecting on the City’s environmental initiatives and their impact on the community.
