2026-2027 - NOTICE OF FUNDING AVAILABILITY (NOFA)

Notice is hereby given that the City of Montebello is initiating its citizen participation and application process for the 2026-2027 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funded program. The City is an entitlement community and is expected to received Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for Fiscal Year 2026-2027. The City will be requesting proposals from various service providers by way of Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA).

CDBG funds may be used for a variety of community development and housing activities, including public services, social services, public facility and infrastructure improvements, and residential code enforcement and housing improvement projects. A maximum of fifteen percent (15%) of the City's yearly allocation may fund Public Service activities. Funding will be contingent on availability from HUD. 

All applications must be submitted by Monday, January 12, 2026, by 5:00 P.M.  Postmarks and late applications will not be accepted.

TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE WORKSHOP

For those organizations interested in applying for CDBG funds, the City will provide a Technical Assistance Workshop on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.  For those interested in attending, please contact Rosemary Perich, Housing Manager at [email protected].

 

COMMUNITY SURVEY

While community residents are not eligible to apply and/or receive direct CDBG funding, we invite you to participate in this essential planning process by completing our survey.
