FPPC Filings


The Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) is a five-member independent, non-partisan commission that has the primary responsibility for the impartial and effective administration of the Political Reform Act. The Act regulates campaign financing, conflicts of interest, lobbying, and governmental ethics. The Commission's objectives are to ensure that public officials act in a fair and unbiased manner in the governmental decision-making process, to promote transparency in government, and to foster public trust in the political system.

The mission of the FPPC is to promote the integrity of state and local government in California through fair, impartial interpretation and enforcement of political campaign, lobbying and conflict of interest laws. You may access the FPPC website by visiting www.fppc.ca.gov

Statements of Economic Interests - Form 700

The City Council Members are elected officers identified in the Government Code section 87200 and file statements of economic interests with the City Clerk's Office.

Copies of the Statement of Economic Interests - Form 700 for the elected officers may be obtained by visiting the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) website here or the City of Montebello - City Clerk's Office.

Public Official Appointments - Form 806

The Fair Political Practices Commission has created Form 806 - Agency Report of Public Official Appointments to be used to report additional compensation officials receive when appointing themselves to positions on committees, boards, or commissions or committees of a public agency, special district, and joint powers agency or authority. This form is completed by the agency and posted on its website, and is updated as changes occur.

AB 2151

Pursuant to State Law - AB 2151, beginning January 1, 2021, local government agencies are required to post campaign statements and reports on their agency's website within 72 hours of each applicable filing deadline, if they are filed in paper format. If the final day of the 72-hour period is a Saturday, Sunday, or holiday, the period is extended to the next day that is not a Saturday, Sunday, or holiday. Before posting, the local filling officer shall redact the street name and building number of the persons or entity representatives listed on any statement, report, or document, or any bank account number required to be disclosed by the filer. The reports and statements must remain on the agency's website for at least 4 years.

Campaign Statements - Form 410, 460, 470, 496, 497

The Political Reform Act (Gov. Code §§ 81000-91014) requires detailed disclosure of the role of money in California politics. This includes the disclosure of contributions and expenditures in connection with campaigns supporting or opposing local candidates and ballot measures.

Campaign disclosure filings are public documents. Any member of the public may inspect and obtain a copy of any statement.
