Ad Hoc Committees

The City Council has established temporary advisory committees referred to as, Ad Hoc Committees, to have direct involvement by representatives of the Council regarding specific subject matters. These Ad Hoc Committees report to and solicit feedback from the full City Council at the conclusion of the assignment, to ensure staff efforts reflect the priorities and concerns of the City Council. These temporary advisory committees composed solely of less than a quorum of members of the legislative body are not subject to the Brown Act.

Parks and Recreation Ad Hoc Assignments

The Parks and Recreation Commission has also established temporary advisory committees to have direct involvement by representatives of the Parks and Recreation Commission regarding specific subject matters. These Ad Hoc Committees report to and solicit feedback from the full Parks and Recreation Commission at the conclusion of the assignment, to ensure staff efforts reflect the priorities and concerns of the Commission. These temporary advisory committees composed solely of less than a quorum of members of the legislative body are not subject to the Brown Act.
