The Montebello Fire Department provides life safety, environmental protection, and property conservation measures through preventive hazard reduction. The bureau responsible for these efforts in known as the Community Risk Reduction Division or CRRD.
CRRD staff is involved in a vast array of services for the community; anything ranging from basic fire safety questions to more complex fire protection concerns. Our staff is comprised of professional and dedicated members whose collective goal is to ensure we provide the highest level of service.
CRRD aids our city staff, planners, and commissioner by supplying them with relevant fire and life safety information. We also review new construction plans to ensure conformity with fire protection regulation and emergency access. Lastly, our team investigates fires that occur within the city to determine their origin and cause.
