Call for Proposals for the City of Montebello Downtown
K-Rail Public Art Project

The City of Montebello invites artists and art organizations to submit proposals for an original design treatment for K-Rails (traffic barricades) in Downtown Montebello. The selected proposal will be reproduced on a vinyl wrap and affixed to the street-side surfaces of the K-Rails located along Whittier Boulevard to create “parklets” for outdoor dining. The opportunity is open to artists and designers over the age of 18.

Proposals are due by October 23, 2025.
Please complete and submit the K-Rail Budget Application found below, as well as supporting art design(s) and examples of previous public art projects or relevant work. Your proposal may include up to 3 art designs:
