FY 2024-2025 Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA)

The City of Montebello (the "City") anticipates receiving Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program funds from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for qualifying projects and programs during the 2024-2025 Fiscal Year. The City is seeking public service applications for CDBG funding from capable agencies.  Applications will be available during the application period of November 16, 2023 - December 20, 2023. Applications must be sent to the Planning and Community Development Department located at: 1600 W. Beverly Blvd., Montebello, CA  90640, Attention: Rosemary Perich, Housing Manager.  Any applications received after the deadline will not be accepted.

Attention Developers: Fannie Mae is offering a Sponsor- Dedicated Workforce (SDW) Program for borrowers wanting to establish rent restrictions as part of a private financing approach to address the affordability crisis for missing- middle renters. Sponsor-Dedicated Workforce (SDW) Housing is designed for conventional properties and provides sponsors with favorable financing when they create or preserve rents on a minimum of 20% of the units affordable to renters earning 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI) for the life of the loan. In certain high-cost markets, sponsors can create or preserve a minimum of 20% of rents affordable to those renters earning up to 100% – 120% of AMI.
