Permanent Local Housing Allocation Plan

Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) funding is made possible through Senate Bill (SB) 2 Chapter 364, Statutes of 2017. The intent of the bill is to provide a permanent, on-going source of funding to Local governments for housing-related projects and programs that assist in addressing the unmet housing and homelessness needs of their local communities. It is important to note that the 5-year funding is an estimate since the funding source is from real estate transactions, which may fluctuate from year to year. The City of Montebello is eligible for up to $1,900,548 over a five-year period but must submit a successful Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) application to California Department of Housing and Community Development (Department).

NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that the PLHA NOFA 5-Year Plan will be presented and discussed during the Montebello City Council meeting on October 26, 2022.  PDF of the full plan is HERE.   Attachment A- Notice of Funding Opportunity.pdf   Attachment B- MFD PLHA Draft Working Budget.pdf
