We missed connecting with our community members during National Night Out (NNO) last year and are excited to partner with our community this year.
Join the city of Montebello's award-winning National Night Out program on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Due to recent COVID-19 guidelines, our celebration will look a lot different than in previous years.
National Night out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police/community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, more caring places.
NNO is designed to decrease crime and strengthen neighborhood spirit and police/community partnerships.
Participation this year is entirely different than in past years. This year we are going to follow a more traditional NNO model. Neighborhoods nationwide participate each year and host pot lucks, ice cream socials, block party gatherings, and activities for the kids in their communities. However, this year, residents will join together with their neighbors, families, and friends at one of the below-listed city parks to host their neighborhood event. Residents should pick the park closest to their neighborhood.

- Potrero Heights Park
- Grant Rea Park
- Ashiya Park
- Chet Holifield Park
- Reggie Rodriguez Park
Bring your own chairs, food, and other refreshments. You might also decide to organize a potluck with your neighbors as well.
Police department representatives, specifically your district commanders, will be available at each park to participate in your neighborhood discussions and activities.
Your participation in this event tells others that you:
- Want to make your neighborhood safe
- Want to build a strong relationship with public safety officials and meet your district commanders
- Want to promote a sense of community
